COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri men's basketball has its transfer portal center.
Former South Carolina and Louisiana State big Josh Gray committed to the Tigers out of the transfer portal Sunday, giving Mizzou the veteran frontcourt presence it sought this offseason.
Gray, a 7-footer, averaged 3.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game for the Gamecocks last season. He scored seven points in South Carolina's two games against MU.
He'll factor into a room of centers that includes two incoming freshmen — Trent Burns and Peyton Marshall — but needs experienced help after Mizzou struggled on the boards and in the post last season.
